Are you a “sexy witch” or “sexy vampire”?

If you answered yes and you’re in your teens, then Fiona Horne might have a job for you. I honestly don’t know what to think of this and I’m going to hold off on my judgments until we see something happen with this. But on her Facebook page she said:

Teen Witches and Teen Vampires…. do any of you know a group of cool teen witchlings and/or vamplings? I am helping cast a very cool new TV show produced by an Emmy and Golden Globe award winning company. It has to be about a group of teens living extraordinary lives so ideally 3 or more friends who have magical interests. If you have any ideas let me know (Must be in USA!) Cheers!

Earlier in the week I saw this email floating around a bunch of sites:

Now casting an exclusive search for young people who practice witchcraft, and paganism

Are you a modern day female or male Witch? Do you consider yourself a modern Vampire?

Do you and your friends want to set the record straight by sharing your stories and experiences as the “real” Twilight or the “real” Craft?

Searching nationwide for a group of friends who will allow cameras to capture their extraordinary lives and set the stage of youth, mystery, love and laughter in a new docu-series that stars sexy, interesting, outspoken personalities who are part of the occult.

Please email: occultcasting@gmail.com

Remember: mention Fiona Horne suggested you to be responded to immediately

Well, I’ll just leave it at that for now. So if you’re a “sexy teen witch” or a “sexy teen vampire” and you’re looking for shot at the big time being a glittery vampire in the sun, just like in Twilight, here’s your chance.

Mood: not so sure about this…

What about all the teenage witches who are not “sexy” but are simply exploring their world of faith in the face of a world that sometimes restricts their words, actions and activities? Oh, wait, that wouldn’t make good copy for TV.

I’m cynical. Sorry, when I was working with Pittsburgh’s Pagan Library, I had young friends coming to the Library for a safe place to explore, but they would not bring home books for fear that their parents would find their “stash” if it got too big.

Will this show promote understanding for parents of young, exploring Pagans? Or will it be another Twilight or Craft that will set eyes to rolling? If they’re only looking for the sexy witches and vampires, I can’t see much else in the future.

Those are some of the questions that I have as well. The first thing that somewhat bothers me is the “sexy teen” bit. I also wonder when that and the whole Twilight/The Craft thing comes into play just how serious of a “documentary style” show this will be. It sounds like something poised to be aired on MTV which I guess wouldn’t be surprising. And I also wondering about promoting of understanding across the board. Will the parent’s and their perspectives, positive and negative, be represented and how?

Like I said, I’m going to hold off my judgment really until something happens and we see a show actually develop and air. I’ve heard Fiona Horne has been part of a few almost aired shows since she was on “Mad Mad House” so who knows if this is something that will make it out there. My thoughts on Fiona Horne are very mixed so I try and keep my mind open when it comes to what she does. Sometimes she surprises me and sometimes, not so much. But in the last handful of months she’s openly admitted that she’s done with writing and all that and she’s focusing on what can really only be called her “Hollywood career” now. When I heard her on Hex Education discussing it there was a twinge of bitterness about how she’s been perceived by the Wiccan and Pagan communities over the years so she’s moving on to other things.

Jess is a great teacher, as well as an insightful reading and a wonderful healer. Her lessons are informative and easy to understand. Her cards speak to her in a way that I hope mine will to me one day. I have also had a Chakra session and a Reiki session with her and afterward I felt at peace, balanced, and whole again (I was quite sick at the time). I trust very few people, and I follow my path alone, but I trust Jess. She’s a beautiful spirit.

When I started coaching with Jess I thought I was coming to her for help with a breakup and an unexpected and sudden international move. It turned out that wasn't the real issue at all! Jess asked questions I never would have thought to ask myself and gave me a whole new perspective on what was going on in my life. She made me feel like what I want matters. By the time we were done I felt like I could take on the world!

OMG I'm blown away by the accuracy of the reading. Jess has a special gift. What she revealed to me, opened me up to a place I knew I should be at but was holding myself back from.

I was so overwhelmed trying to get back into my witchcraft practice, but Jess helped me create an actual plan and a schedule for doing the work. The results in just two months has been far beyond my expectations. I'm in touch with my power like never before!
