2013 was stellar! Things that had been on my biz wish list for 2012 finally came to pass in 2013. Many of them, in fact more than I anticipated. I can only attribute that to two things: my instance on doing only what I felt deeply called to do and the amazing tribe of people who have been following me, working with me, and hanging in for the wild ride. I’d love to say we’re all settled in for 2014, but I’d be lying. It’s time to ride on with an ebb and flow of yet more changes!
It all came down to what happened when I discovered my guiding word and song for 2014.
Driving down the South 15 freeway in Mira Mesa, heading off to our new apartment, I was thinking right away about my new office. I’ve been living and working during the day out of a small {and boy do I mean small} second bedroom in our other apartment. I remember when we moved in there I was so excited because there was a window that took up pretty much a whole wall and overlooked part of the mountain view with lots of trees. But it also overlooked the common area of the apartment complex, which quickly took away from the natural beauty of the nature trails around the area.
Initially the window at my desk, something I haven’t ever had before, didn’t seem so awesome anymore and instead I soon felt like the tiny walls, lined as best I could with bookshelves and racks to hold all my crap, started to feel like they were closing in on me. I was keeping the window blinds down a lot because there were always kids {of all ages, not just little ones} lingering around and staring up at me at my desk.
Yeah…’cause that’s not creepy!
So when we decided we had to get out of that place for a long list of reasons {the apparent Lord of the Flies style atmosphere being a big factor} I paid extra attention to what would be known as “my room” in the house.
While it definitely has some drawbacks, overall, this space is kind of like a dream. It’s bright all day, it’s big and roomy {mostly} and I feel like I do a much better job getting things done here than I ever did last year in my other office space.
And with how much I managed to do last year, if this space is going to be more inspiring and efficient, LOOK OUT! 😀
OK, back to driving down the 15…
So I’m driving down to the beach apartment and I start to think about what my guiding word and theme for 2014 would be going into this new space and starting a new year. I always pick one song and one word that ultimately gives way to a few offshoot words.
If you’ve never chosen a word and song for the year, DO IT! They are like build in accountability partners – maps for your dreams to keep you on the path of your true self!
I don’t remember what Sirius station I was listening to exactly, but I’ll guess it was something like Classic Rewind, but all of a sudden a Cat Steven’s song that I haven’t heard in years came on and struck me as “the song”.

Well if you want to say yes, say yes
And if you want to say no, say no
‘Cause there’s a million ways to go
You know that there are
It was the beginning of what has now been a 3 week journey of every question and prayer answered with a very clear clairaudient message from spirit and the angels. Which has been kind of fun because it’s not the most dominant clairsense I have so seeing it suddenly come to the front of the line has been awesome.
That lead me to my main 2014 guiding word…
The offshoot words so far has come through as Authenticity and Affluence.
I consciously picked affluence over abundance because abundance is different. Abundance just means having a lot of something and I certainly had an abundance of things in my life + biz last year!
- I gain a crap load of weight
- I had a mounting pile of bills for my biz
- But I managed to always be able to pay them because by the end of 2013 I’d earned SIX TIMES what I earned in 2012 but I racked up a lot of expenses in the process.
- I had an abundance of people come to me asking for free help
- I had an overwhelming amount of projects happening in a single time because I didn’t have proper boundaries in place…
In short I wasn’t lacking in abundance in all forms, desired and less than desired. What I really wanted was an abundance of income, a boost in my biz, in order to uplevel my life.
You could say I just didn’t make my intention clear, but when you are guided by a word that isn’t clear it makes things a little muddy regardless. That’s why this year I’m working with affluence instead. In 2014 I’m working to create flow…creative flow, financial flow, and spiritual flow that is in right alignment with my soul and Higher Self all so I can live the life I want to have.
That’s why there are more changes coming to my biz!
I love change and the new year always gets me amped up for more of it. This year, after doing some soul searching and working with some interesting spiritual techniques at the end of 2013, I made some big decisions.
I’m putting all my focus and energy into my new membership site, Wild Spirit Tribe. I LOVE the Tribe! We’re growing into a fun little community with authenticity, spirit, and love.
The Wild Spirit Tribe is a sacred online community created for women and men who want to turn their dream lives into realities by learning to work with their spiritual gifts more. We have live chats and live group coaching calls for working out what’s got people feeling stuck, and we have forums, groups, a community blog and a chat room for people to connect with like minded people and work together in specific areas of interest like angels, tarot, manifesting, accountability, healing, and so much more. Plus members get access to my entire digital product library, including discontinued items and anything I create in the future, and exclusives discounts on services….services that are soon ONLY going to be available to members of the Tribe.
I’d really love for you to come over here and take a look at all the details and see if it’s for you.
If you aren’t sure and you have questions you’re more than welcome to get in touch with me!
Creating community around creativity and spirituality has always been a passion of mine. I’ve done this before with creating online communities more as a hobby or a labor of love. The Wild Spirit Tribe is very much a passion and a labor of love but it’s also where I’m going to direct my business from now on.
I love working one on one with people but I feel more and more called to help as many people as I can and offering that kind of coaching isn’t really it. At least not for me.
I’ve already been told by one coach I’m fucking crazy to do this…that by changing from a high end/high priced coaching model to a much lower cost membership site I’m going to kill my business.
No. Not at all.
The reason is that my soul isn’t meant to be working individually with people. It’s draining for me. The typical coaching model is one on one, but there’s also the group coaching and community model, which is where I’m heading. It will allow me to help more people, work with those who really are ready to create changes in their lives but can’t afford $1000+ a month for that transformation. If they are dedicated to change in their lives and they value the process, they’ll come to the Tribe, invest there 1/10 of what my large coaching packages have been, and they’ll grow, change, and transform.
And I’ll make 2013 look like amature hour in my business because I’ll be doing things MY WAY, fulfilling my dharma, living my authentic path and creating the affluence I want in MY LIFE, not what someone else wants in theirs.
Plus since the Tribe isn’t directly one on one work it’s less draining for me and leaves more room for me to the other thing that I love…creating and writing! I’m excited to be making more space for writing books/ebooks, courses, and all that fun stuff. In fact I have something coming next week…
{and Tribe Members will get it free with their membership! Our Soul Biz group in the Tribe will love it!}
This is all about flowing with authenticity and creating the kind of freedom and affluence I want in my life. Not following the path and the rules of other’s in the same niche as me or doing everything that I’m told by the coaches and other’s I’ve worked with. It’s about forging a path in life and biz that work for ME, not anyone else.
That’s my wish for you all you too!
Freedom, authenticity, and affluence!
May we all find a way to take that ride together!

My 2014 song, and word is Roar 🙂 2013 sucked for me, so I’m making 2014 my best year yet

My word of the year is JOY!

I don’t have a song — oh wait … out of the blue … “Walking on Sunshine” by Katrina and the Waves! Yep … that’s my 2014 song! Love yours by the way — grew up with Cat Stevens playing on vinyl in my house — My mom is a HUGE fan LOLz
My word started out as Change but after much thought and meditation Authenticity is what won out because it isn’t so much about change as much as being true to myself, marching to my own beat and not playing into the “collective hive” so to speak.
And kudos to you for doing the same thing! I’m sorry your coach/mentor feels that you are down-grading. I think this tribe is an awesome thing and I am so glad to have found your website last week!
