Holiday week is upon us! I’m sure you’ve already been dealing with the craziness of the holiday season by now; this is the time when it really hits. This is the week of the “big day” for many of us, whether it’s Yule or Christmas, or if you celebrate both. That can mean pressure, stress, excitement, joy, worry, anxiety, and a whole bunch of other energies and feelings all nicely packed up and wrapped with a red bow.

One of my favorite tools for all the above problems is crystals. Yup, I am one of those kooky people that believes the right crystal or combination of gemstones, can fix anything.

When I have a larger issue that needs help I love working with stones in combinations, what I call “crystal prescriptions” {totally not a phrase of my making, but that is what it means to me}.  I create my prescriptions in a very specific way. I use six stones with very specific intentions, and they all are used together to create an energetic powerhouse for change and healing.

My Formula…

The stones are all retuned, charged, anointed, and placed in a bag for carrying.

Retuning – this is the process of bringing the stones back to their original, natural, highest energetic vibration. Stones work based on their vibration so we want them to be at their highest natural vibration. To do this, I ring tingsha bells or a singing bowl over the stones. {You can read more about retuning here.}

Charging – I hate this phrase when it comes to crystals because it is often really misunderstood. You cannot give a crystal energy, and you cannot make a crystal do something that it is not naturally designed to do. However, it is the phrase people know, and it is the best word I can use here. When I say “charge” your stones I mean connecting with the spirit of the stone and letting it know what you are looking for it to do. This is something that goes along naturally with the stone’s vibration. For instance, black tourmaline is a grounding stone. You’re not going to “charge” black tourmaline to give you energy. Instead, while charging your black tourmaline, you might say “Spirit of black tourmaline, I charge you with the task of helping me remain calm in the face of anxiety.”

Anointing – I love adding a little bit of essential oil or a magical oil blend to the stones used in a prescription. I use just one oil for all the stones though I know some people like to use different oils for different stones to enhance their individual vibrations. My preference is to use an oil that is specific to the overall intention of the prescription or to use a Blessing oil blend.

The Bag – This can be a bag of a specific color that resonates with your intention or it can be a natural, undyed bag like a muslin tea bag. I don’t like to use the gauze bags that you’ll often get stones in when purchased online. The reason being that they will start to rip and fall apart over time as you carry it in your pocket which can cause you to lose your stones.

Crazy Holiday Crystal Prescription

Here is my prescription for your crazy holiday this week.

You can also include a stone for your astrological sign if you like. You can also add a Clear Quartz stone to amplify all of these is you’d like.

For the bag, if you’d like to use a color, I’d suggest a traditional holiday color like red, green, blue, or white.

Once you gather all your stones retune them, charge each one with it’s specific purpose and intention in your bag, anoint them with oil if you’d like, and then add them to your bag. Keep the bag on you while out shopping, attention holiday events, or hold it between your hands any time you need to tap into this energy during the holiday season.
