I can’t seem to feel “settled in” with the blog set up. This is the second arrangement for the blog that I’ve done and I’m still not really feeling like this is “the one”. I’ve decided to spend time this weekend working on something else and we’ll see how it goes. I’m sure Lilyth is going to be ready to pretty much take away the right for me to play around with the decorations around here…lol. Lil, I promise, even if it really isn’t, third time WILL be a charm!
So what else is going on today…
Sad news out of New York City, completely unrelated to anything Witchy, but DJ AM, who just last September was one of only two people to survive a small plan crash (the other being Travis Barker formerly of Blink 182) was found dead in his apartment around 5pm EST today. There hasn’t been any real word about what happened, just that friends call the cops to his apartment and they broke down the door and found him on the floor, unresponsive, and that there was drug paraphernalia present. This is sad for a few reasons. First, the fact that he got a second chance more or less last September, though he’d apparently really struggled with that ever since because he didn’t think he deserved to survive while friends of his died. He had overcome (supposedly) a crack problem some time back but, I’m going to put the wager out that he probably got back into that after the accident to help him deal with the guilt that he was tormented by. He was a great DJ and it’s shame to have lost him at the age of 36.
I was quite happy to have finally finished up the notes for the Spirit Guide and Clairvoyance study circle for Sacred Mists. I haven’t written out all the exercises yet. I was going to talk about the exercises during the study hall itself and give the instructions on them but then, the more I thought about it, the more I realized that was going to take up so much time that it would better to write them separate and then post them as “homework” for people to play with and talk about after the fact. I realized after almost 10 typed pages, WITHOUT the exercises included, that I had exhausted the subject a bit. Hopefully there will be lots of questions too…I think there will be. I was actually a little surprised to find that nobody had wanted to tackle the subject yet. Is it really that tough of a subject?
I’m all kinds of behind on blog reading and I’ve been oddly into playing Bingo on Facebook…talk about something to kill time with! This weekend is going to either consist of going to a lot of movies in order to be in the air conditioning (it is oddly hot here in SoCal) or sitting on the couch with a fan and the laptop trying not to move too much because of the heat. I was looking at houses up in Big Bear. They get snow. I think I need to move there.

I honestly was thinking of how Big Bear would be a good move myself! While we all suffer in 100 plus heat they keep it cool with max temps of 80! For us East coast bodies its the perfect solution really if you can swing the cost. I had to reset the breaker 4 times yesterday because my air conditioner kept crashing out under the stress of the heat. I am trying to find ways to deal with the heat maybe I will finally try to really get into the nuts and bolts of my Animation Studio 5 program. If I do get the hang of it I am going to make some Pagan oriented joe cartoon style clips. But first thing is first …figuring the damn thing out! You know in big bear I think a Pagan would feel more at home. You get all the seasons unlike in the valley and coastlines.
I’m about 5 minutes from the water and it was disgusting here today. As soon as the sun went down it was nice. I can’t wait for this to all be over! Apparently it’s going to be pretty bad until mid-week. YAY!
