This week the Witchlings are bringing through the suggestion to do some magical work and set our intentions on motivation. Who couldn’t use a little more motivation! As the card says “Motivation kindles the passion and energy needed in working toward your goals.” Without some fire, drive, and passion even your best laid plans will fall flat.
What do you need to be motivated to do? That’s your first task. What needs more passion right now so you can get things done?
Before you can conjure up some motivation magic you need to have your intentions clearly set on what you want to achieve and accomplish. Motivation to just do “something” is going to be wasted energy, so have a solid intention to guide you.
This little magical ceremony is designed to help you clear up energy that is blocking you from getting motivated to go after your goal and to kick that motivation into high gear.
Magical Motivation Activator
You’ll Need:
- 1 orange candle w/holder
- Sweet Orange essential oil
- Square of paper
- Pen
- Lighter
- Fireproof bowl

Before you get started use the pen and paper to draw a representation of a brick wall with a hole in it. Use this image as a template to give you an idea of what I mean. The bricks represent the things that might be holding you back or keeping you unmotivated and the hole represents the space where you are able to look in and see your goal on the other side. If you know specifically the things that are holding you back you can write them in the bricks to give even more power to clearing them out.
When you’re done take some of the sweet orange oil and anoint the candle with it. Since we’re both clearing and drawing things in with this start by rubbing the oil into the candle from the top down to the center and then from the base of the candle to the center. This gives both sending and drawing energy to your candle.
Place the candle in its holder and light.
Take a moment to just gaze into the candle flame and take in the scent of the orange oil in your hands. Hold you hands up to your face and inhale the scent. Feel it igniting your solar plexus and sacral chakras, lighting the fire in the belly, your source of motivation. Take a moment to emotionally and energetically connect to your goal and intention and draw up the passion to motivate and take action.
When you feel your energy gathering hold your paper sketch up to your heart and begin to chant these words in a rhythm that you feel called to use, letting the chant carry you away but keeping a focus on the candle and your intention. Let it take you to seeing your goal realized.

When you feel your energy has reached a pitch that makes you feel like you might burst, take your paper and hold it over the candle, but do it so the paper catches fire at the point where your hole in the brick wall is. Place it carefully in your fireproof container and allow it to burn from the center out. Burning it this way, rather than just lighting a corner of the paper, represents your renewed passion and motivation burning away the blocks and lighting the way to your goals and success.
Keep the ashes in a little bowl or container on your altar or workspace until your goals manifest.
Let the candle burn down or you can burn it for 15 minutes a day each day until your goal manifests.
Carry the orange oil with you or keep it nearby so when you need a quick motivation jolt you can dab a little on your skin or sniff the bottle.
Keep in mind that this Tuesday, April 29th, is a new moon in Taurus with a solar eclipse. Taurus is a sign that makes for good timing to focus on tangible goals and desires {those material things in life that we all want}. The eclipse adds intensified energy and a cosmic jolt to your work. If what you work on now with this eclipse is in alignment with things you’ve been working on in the two weeks since the last eclipse you can expect massive jumps forward!
Now go out there and gather up some motivation!
