Greetings once again from Boxtopia! I had to stop and take a moment to write a little something this week because being away from writing for so long is making me nuts. 🙂 So it’s time for some magic for your week. This week the Witchlings comes up with Rejuvenation – Rejuvenate your mind, body, and spirit with a fresh and renewed approach to life.
This week things for me are all about being simple and practical. I don’t have time right now for anything heavy and I’m will to be you don’t either. It’s that time of year where we’re shifting into “summer mode” and that means change and transition but it’s also a time for shifting to a mindset that tends to be more focused on simplicity, joy, and fun.
So the first big of magic for the week – change your mindset to one that’s slowed down a bit and intentionally looking for the joy and the good things around you. The more you intentionally look for and notice these things the more you start to see them show up for you.
That kind of covers the mind but what about body and spirit?
One of my favorite crystals for is tiger’s eye. It brings luck, healing, protection, and a boost of energy and confidence. It combines the colors of gold and brown – gold helps to boost your energy while brown keeps us grounded and centered.
You can simply carry tiger’s eye or wear tiger’s eye jewelry when you need a boost, but another thing you can do is make a tiger’s eye gem elixir that can be added to your drinking water or to bath water to help take in even more of its energy. By drinking or soaking in crystal water you take in the vibrations of the stone in a pretty powerful way.
But, there is one major catch to doing this. Tiger’s eye is toxic! It contains asbestos, and while it’s safer in a tumbled form the safest way to work with it for elixirs is to use an indirect method of creation. It’s easy peasy and works just as well as putting the stone right in the water.
{It’s not this song that got stuck in my head but this one.}
You’ll Need:
- 2 large Mason jar {the bigger the better}
- 1 small baby food jar {needs to be small enough to put inside the Mason jar}
- 1 piece of tiger’s eye {again, the bigger the better, or you can use several small pieces}
- Filtered or spring water
Make sure your jars are clean, inside and out.
Tune or cleanse your stones and then place inside the baby food jar and seal.
Place the baby food jar carefully inside one of the Mason jar.
Fill the Mason jar with water up to the neck and seal.
Place the jar in direct sunlight for up to 4 hours. Then place the jar in the moonlight {or just under the night’s sky} overnight. When you’re specifically working with the full moon for this it’s ideal to get the jar and bring it inside before the sun rises.
Carefully pour your water into the other Mason jar, being careful to not pour our the small jar inside {you don’t want to break things and have glass in your water}.
This is your Mother Essence of Tiger’s Eye. You should use the water within a week of making and it should be labeled and stored in a cool, dark place. If you aren’t planning to use it within a week you’ll want to only put about 3/4 of the water into your second jar and fill the other 1/4 of the jar with either high quality vodka or distilled white vinegar. This acts as a preservative which will keep algae and other icky crap from growing in there.
How to use it…
Add about 10 drops or so to a glass or bottle of drinking water. You can also add about a 1/4 cup to a bath tub of warm water for a tiger’s eye rejuvenation bath! You can bring your tiger’s eye stones with you to the bath but just don’t put them IN the bath with you. Place them around the tub and light a candle and relax, babe! You deserve it!
