This week’s Switch Off Sunday is a call to read something. Today’s a good day to curl up, wherever you may be, and read a book. Is it nice where you today? Go outside and read! Get to the beach or go out to the woods or a park nearby and read a book without the distractions of things round the house. I know that for me, reading outside ends up being a much better experiences than trying to really read inside because I’m constantly reminded about all the things I need to do around the house or my computer is calling me. Reading outside is a great way to sort of get outside of your day-to-day, switch off, and really enjoy whatever you’re reading.
I am reading SARK’s Wild Succulent Woman. That’s what I’m doing today. The fact that I’ve been carrying this book around with me for the last two months is ridiculous because it’s not exactly long. And in the typical style of many of SARK’s books it’s written in a handwritten journal style. My plan for today’s switch off is to finish up this book!
It was interesting that when I opened the book up on Saturday to read for a little bit before taking a nap I was coming into a section on body image and weight loss. I’m looking forward to working through the rest of this book so I can move on to another of her books that I have in my “to read” pile.
Enjoy your switch off Sunday!
