Hey gang, it’s time for spooky season and time for some spooky tarotscopes. OK, maybe not so spooky, but you know what is kind of spooky? The way I keep disappearing! I can promise you that I’m here to stay this time and I have lot of cool stuff coming up. I’ll have a little update post coming in the week ahead and we’ll also see the launch of Samhain and Halloween offers as well. This month I’m using one of my favorite Halloween/gothy/vampire themed decks, The Tarot of Vampyres. Sadly is seems that this deck is no longer in print, which is a real shame. It’s one of the best vampire themed decks I have and one I use often when I want something with a dark/gothy/horror theme.
These tarotscopes are going to be short and sweet; they’re just enough to give you something to use as a jumping off point for working your magick and setting your intentions for the month ahead. To read your tarotscope simply click on your sign to see the card image and message for the month.
Here is a little rundown of what October is going to bring:
- October 6 – New Moon in Libra
- October 18 – Mercury goes direct
- October 20 – Full Moon in Aries
- October 22 – Scorpio season begins
The overall theme for October is relationship balance. Relationships, no matter what kind they are, are a give a take. There is always need to find balance and compromise if a relationship is going to thrive and not just survive. During the new moon look for where you, personally, need to be willing to change in order to generate more harmony. Where do you need to be more willing to compromise and not focus so much on what YOU want. What does the other person need or want and how can you support that? At the full moon consider how your own personal masculine and feminine energies can be more in balance so you can be more in harmony with yourself. When you are in a better place of personal flow your emotional and energetic balance with those around you flow more naturally.

Eight of Grails reversed
This month you might find yourself feeling a bit lost of confused when it comes to what the best options are for something that you’ve been working toward. Part of you feels like you need to walk a totally different path but another part of you fears that a new path might take you in the wrong direction. You need to make a choice otherwise you’re going to find yourself stuck to the point where you could miss out on something critical. The reversed Eight of Grails is reminding you that you KNOW when it’s time to walk away …or stay! So listen to your intuition this month.
Two of Scepters
You’ve had your eye on something for a while…a goal, a mission, something that you’ve wanted to manifest. This month you have the power to pull together your resources and take action that is going to finally get you closer to achieving that goal. The thing is that you are going to have to push and fight a little. This isn’t going to be a walk in the park, but if it’s really worth having it’s worth the effort to get it.
Seven of Skulls reversed
A series of misunderstandings, poor choices, and missteps could cause you to spend this month dealing with feelings of failure and unhappiness. It might begin to feel like everything seed you’ve planted for the year just isn’t coming up in the final harvest. But it’s important to remember a few things. First, not everything that we plant will flourish…nor is it meant to! There are lessons to be learned from a failed harvest. Secondly, a little inspiration can go a long way. During the month, look for new sources of inspiration that can feed your intentions and allow time for things to begin to thrive again.
Four of Grails reversed
Your generosity and love for others is great, but it’s important to remember that it IS possible to give TOO MUCH and not have enough for yourself. When you’re feeling deeply rooted in your giving space you assume that your resources are endless, until you feel the strain of what happens when you’re low from offering too much. This month make sure you’re setting strong boundaries and protecting yourself while still honoring your generous soul. Making sure there is still enough for you is not being selfish!
Justice reversed
This month you might find yourself confronted with a little karmic justice of your own. Did you do someone dirty in the past and not make the situation right? If you were hoping that things would just fix themselves or you would see things just go away, this month they might be coming back to haunt you. You may also find that others start to point fingers at you, blaming you for their problems that you aren’t at all responsible for. Be on the lookout for things in your working relationships and mutual projects to be out of balance. Remember that learning from your mistakes is one of the best ways to work through disappointment and challenges.
Two of Skulls
To really get through a challenging situation this month you’re going to have to be willing to see both sides of the argument that you might dealing with. You may find yourself having to really put yourself in someone else’s shoes this month to understand all the different perspectives you need to consider. The lessons for the month are going to be centered around the need for you to learn to be adaptable and changeable. You need to be willing to adjust your thinking and your plans, not just for the sake of others but for yourself as well. This is a chance to create a new pattern and make real change in your life.
Seven of Knives
Secrets are abound this month…but are they yours or someone else’s? If you are trying to keep something secret this month, be sure to take your time and really think about what you’re doing. I could be easy for people to poke holes if your defenses right now because you might be missing some clear and obvious flaws in your plan. If you feel someone else is keeping something secret from you listen to your intuition. But don’t ASSUME that people are trying to hide things from you. Mercury is in retrograde during half the month (until Oct 18th) so it might be easy to assume that people are being a bit sneaky. If you honestly feel someone isn’t being honest with you, be up front and get everything into the light.
The Hermit reversed
This month is not the time for your to retreat into the darkness. This is kind of like your time! Scorpios and the spooky season of October just kind of go hand in hand. But there can be POSITIVE sides to retreating if you REALLY feel like you need to. This is a great time for you to focus on communicating with the Spirit World as the Veil thins, and a great time to work on developing and strengthening your magickal and spiritual abilities. But don’t alienate yourself intentionally and don’t fall prey to others that might try to do this to you. Sometimes when people are trying to isolate you from a group, event, or situation it can be a good sign of the people that you may need to distance yourself from.
Nine of Knives
Guilt and regret may plague your dreams this month, but it’s important to remember that our dreams, and the thoughts that pop into our heads during those dark and quiet hours, are all little teachers that have lessons for us. We all go through hard times and times when we have to face the truth about situations that we might wish were different. But this month it’s time to really pay attention to these messages and know there is a lot of opportunity for change there. You might be feeling a little like you’ve lost your faith in yourself and even those around you, but know this is just a sign of room to grow.
Prince of Grails reversed
This month you may find yourself feeling really emotionally and creatively blocked, as though you have something you want to get out but you just can’t find a way to express it. The reversed Prince of Grails reminds you that sometimes you have to focus on thinking, acting, and creating outside of the box. The way you have been doing things could, on its own, be creating a block. When we do things over and over the same way for months or years it can create a sense of routine that stagnates us. This month allow yourself a chance to try out something that in the past you might have thought wasn’t worth your time. You might be surprised to find what kind of inspiration or new ideas come from really going outside your emotional and creative comfort zone.
Lord of Grails reversed
This month you may find that there are some things that just don’t go your way, but that’s no reason to turn into a drama queen! This reversed Lord comes with a reminder that it’s OK to allow emotions to have a big role if your life. You tend to be much more logical and calculated in your decisions and relationships, but right now your feelings are trying to let you know that you need to listen to their messages. Allow them to come through. Express them freely. This might be uncomfortable at first but you’ll find that the people around you that you love need to hear how you feel. Plus, the more you hear it yourself and allow yourself to FEEL these things, the more balance you’ll be able to bring to your relationships.
Prince of Scepters
This month it’s time to call up all your passion and fire to move forward with a goal that you have long held as a deeply passionate desire. No matter what that might be, this is the time to take some real steps toward manifesting your goal. You have the energy, the resources, and the support (in physical and spiritual form) to push you toward the finish line. You simply need to be willing to try doing something you haven’t done before. There are reasons why you haven’t achieved this goal before, but those reasons are no longer in your way. Don’t be afraid to conquer your fears and push through blocks this month. Things that seem impossible are easier than you know.
