I have something quick, sweet, and simple to share with you today that I think is so super important if you want to see your life change in 2014.  This is something I worked with to turn around some tricky things in my life in 2013 and it worked like a charm and it’s going to be one of my big {not so secret} weapons for 2014.

So you want to uplevel your life in 2014?  

If you haven’t really heard the phrase uplevel before all it simply means is going to the next level.  It could mean making more money, moving into a higher position in your career, reaching a new level in your relationship, or just moving into a more comfortable lifestyle all together.

Many of us have issues that we aren’t even aware of that keep us from upleveling.  Sometimes it’s because of things we experienced in our childhood, things we saw or experienced through our parents, or even ideas and energies passed on to us from our ancestors or {believe it or not} things that we picked up from our mother while in the womb.

If reading this much so far has made you squirm, GOOD!  It’s a sign that you’re ready, but it’s also a sign that you may need to do a little deep digging to uncover other things you may need to address and work through to clear up the blocks you may be holding on to.  I would definitely recommend reading The Big Leap by Gay Hendricks if that sounds like you.

Here’s the thing about upleveling. You have to let the Universe know you’re ready for it and then you have to act like you mean it!

 

That means that if you say to the Universe “I’m ready to have more money flow into my life” you have to live from a place of wealth not a place of poverty.  I bring up money because this is the big one that most people struggle with and it’s the thing I often hear from people.  It often goes something like this:

I really want to have more money come into my life…I’m so sick of being broke and never having the extra money for things I want.

The problem there is two fold:

• Don’t focus on your want.  All that does is bring more want into your life.
• On top of being focused on want, this person is still confirming and therefore reaffirming, that they are {in their own words} broke.

Tell the Universe what you’re ready for, not what you want.  Once you make that honest statement of intention you have to live in accord with the lifestyle or things you are ready to have in your life and not the way you were living.  Remember, like attracts like.

If you want out of a poverty mindset you have to stop living from a poverty mindset.  That means changing how you think about your money and even how you spend your money.  That WILL be a scary thing at first, but it’s essential if you want to create change in your life…it HAS to start with you! 

 

How can you do this?

1. Identify where you want to change and move up to the next level in your life.  Be honest!  What are you really ready for in your life right now?  It doesn’t have the be the big vision but just a next step.  Small uplevel steps will bring you more success than trying to shoot for the moon out the gate.
2. Create your statement for the Universe:
   Dear Universe, I am ready for ______________ in my life.  
   Then say it often and say it with conviction!  Put it on sticky notes all over your home and office!
3. Live like you mean it!  If it’s about money, stop staying to yourself “I’m broke” every time you look at your bank balance.  Instead see the glass half full and show gratitude for what you do have, no matter how small; be grateful for things like having a roof over your head, clothes on your back, and the lights turned on.  If it’s about wanting more passion in your relationship be grateful that you have your partner.  Just make sure to show gratitude for what you already have rather than focusing on what you are lacking.  {If you need help with creating gratitude, grab my free 30 Day Gratitude Journal!}
